Of Jose and Conte: Never Forget

Even as a United fan in 2006, I couldn't look a Chelsea fan in his face at the time and say your manager is not a world class manager. Not after he had won everything on offer at Porto including the Europa and Champions league. It was my first time as a United fan since 1999 to feel really uncomfortable about the prospect of an emerging challenger. Leeds, Blackburn, Newcastle, later Arsenal and least of all Liverpool where all afraid of the United fire. But a certain loquacious and cantankerous dude had emerged on the block, dubbing himself "the Special One." Wenger and Benitez were most critical and envious of his success and personality. He destroyed the United - Arsenal duopoly, from which Arsenal never really recovered and broke many records held by United, in particular winning with a record 95 points.

He also nearly replicated the unbeaten record recently set by Arsenal just a year earlier. "Who is Jose Mourinho?" was pretty much a question and an answer in the lips of managers, footballers and fandoms across Europe's elite clubs. Let me make this clear about what would have been a more worthy unbeaten record. Chelsea was winning games like they were match-fixing and were coasting with a force that was only known to come from United and Arsenal in their hey days.

I remember that in 2005, they were unlucky to lose only one game in the whole season! If it was a game of boxing, Chelsea would probably have won that game since City won against the run of play. Chances were created, saves were made, woodwork was hit but it was City that luckily scored a lone goal through Anelka's penalty. In fact, it was even a controversial decision by the distinguished referee Howard Webb. The offender, Paulo Ferreira claimed that he brought down Anelka (who himself would later move to Chelsea) right before the 18 yard box. Opinion remains divided after the post match review. That was the second goal they were conceding at that time in the season, each at home and away. That was the awe that Mourinho built around Chelsea FC, a rising mid-table team with only one league glory (won in the second half of the 20th century) to show for their efforts since 1905. In the process, he built an emerging power centre in London  and a duopoly with United for much of the period 2005 to 2012. The next, Chelsea won the league again to show that it wasn't due to chance; a domestic double and a second UCL champions league semifinal. Clearly, they weren't "Leicestering, if you catch my drift.

His exploits in Inter is already common knowledge and need not be repeated here. Now fast forward to his stint at Real Madrid. At Madrid, he was brought to stop the virtually unstoppable domestic and European menace of their fierce rivals, Barcelona. To put this in context, the blaugrana boys had become nearly  invincible since 2005 and this reached a crescendo in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 under Pep Guardiola. The duo of Ramos and Pellegrini had fought hard, won a few titles but were generally underwhelming of Real Madrid's standard, who were then now playing in the Europa as a matter of routine. Almost all the LFP awards went to Barca players, from Ronaldinho to Messi to Xavi etc. In a nutshell, it was a massive task that tested his managerial skills and stretched it to its limits. Mourinho won the Copa del Rey and later delivered in his second season, winning the league and breaking a number of records in the process: 100 points in a single season, 121 goals scored, a goal difference of +89, 16 away wins, and 32 overall wins. It has taken Madrid this month since Mourinho to win that same trophy again, but the records are a different kettle of fish. He won other domestic trophies but failed to win the Champions league. He however assembled the core of the present day Real Madrid team that eventually won the trophy twice after his exit.

Mourinho returned to Chelsea at a time when Man City were menacing all the teams - big and small. They had replicated the Chelsea model: spending big and attracting the best players and managers. United was the only resilient force that offered what looked like a brief duopoly between the period, 2011 and 2014, when the premier league trophy was resident in Manchester and alternated like a simple pendulum between the two Manchester clubs. At the time too, Brendan Rogers was doing a fine job at Liverpool but never a real title contender until his last season. Chelsea retained the third spot but in Mou's second season, he won the league title and the league cup. It was some sort of a reminder that could be subtitled, NEVER FORGET, "I am still the Special One." Sadly, the last season of Mou's second spell at Chelsea was a departure from the norm. His character flaw that affected his management model at Real Madrid reappeared and exacerbated his poor performance. On his return, he never really forgave Wenger and made remarks that came off to Arsenal fans, a club he has constantly humiliated, as uncomplimentary and an exhibition of pride. To their elation, Mourinho was sacked by a club he loved passionately. Chelsea was his pet project, where he wanted to re-enact his own version of the Fergie Era. This was not to be.

Only last year, admist media reports of Real Madrid and Manchester United interest, he accepted another major challenge at United. A huge problem had been created by the departure of their legendary manager and the emergence his less illustrious Scottish cousin, Moyes, as his (rather unworthy) successor. Till this present day, Moyes is yet to recover from his attempt to fill Fergie's vacant shoes. Since then, he has been on a downward spiral dragging every club along his slippery path to ignominy. Since Moyes touched United, the club has never been the same, thereby necessitating a turbulent transition. Nonetheless, Mourinho has delivered hope and won secondary trophies in the league and has moved to an inch of a European glory in his first season. Due to some inexplicable reasons, you will find a few people rating Mourinho below Conte.

Never forget too that Conte is a fantastic manager steadily toeing the path of greatness. Prior to his appointment at Chelsea, Conte had brought Juventus within  inches of Europa league glory in 2014, when Juve reached the semi-finals of the competition, before his brief stint as Italy manager. His three consecutive Serie A titles with the Old Lady in the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 as well as his current premier league title with Chelsea, this season, are notable achievements. He has also won two Supercoppa Italiana in 2012 and 2013 and is likely to beat Arsenal silly to win the 2017 English FA Cup. As for the man he is being compared to, this is not the place to rehash Mourinho's CV for comparison. Every football lover should have an insight in this regard.

In sum, despite Conte's impressive CV, it is inconceivable that he would be rated above Mourinho. Never forget that Mourinho is not in the class of winning double as he has several doubles to his name. He is in the that special club of "European treble winners." Never forget that he belongs to that exclusive "club of 5 managers" to have won the Champions league with two different teams or in the exclusive "club of 5 managers" to have won league titles in at least four different countries. Such comparisons can, of course, only happen in Nigeria, where history is a taboo and people have collective and/or selective amnesia and live only in the present.

Marriage

WORDS FROM A MOTHER TO HER DAUGHTER ABOUT MARRIAGE

1. The wife that wins all arguments with her husband is not wise. The home is not a law court.
2. The wife that uses sex as a weapon in the home - placing embargo and using sex as punishment - lacks wisdom.
3. The wife that uses the modern trends and laws of "women's rights" to insult or ridicule her husband simply makes a fool of herself.
4. A woman that makes her home devoid of peace through bickering, nagging and quarrels needs help. A man should be eager to run away from office to be at home, for that should be the safest and coziest place on earth for him.
5. Modern-day equality in marriage does not mean competition. It simply means partnership. Taking advantage of such equality to turn around and become the de facto head of the home and oppress the man is tantamount to playing with fire. If you destroy your home, soon you will be the boss of an empty home.
6. A wise wife makes the man feel so good that he assumes that he is the head. Once he gets that feeling, the woman gently wields her power and the head actually turns to wherever the neck wants without a protest.
7. A wife that does not pull herself away from friends' influence and advice or even from the control of her mother and father will have herself to blame.
8. When a man is looking for a wife, he bypasses women of different shapes and sizes to choose a wife. But soon after childbirth, many women hide under the excuse of childbirth to let go of themselves. Many stop bothering about their looks, shape, dressing, etc. Within 5 years of marriage, people start wondering if the wife is the man's aunt, even though she is 7 years younger. Her defence is that if he truly loves her, he should love her the way she is, but when looking for a wife, he saw people like the present YOU and ignored them and settled for the former YOU. Today, you go to bed smelling of onions.... You go to bed wearing grandmothers' clothes. Why are you playing with your marriage? Love is not about looks - we know. But looks enhances love and marriage. There is a difference between someone disfiguring herself and the person being disfigured by an accident.
Please don't be complacent. As hard as it may be, work on looking like you were when he first saw you and began the chase.
9. If every night you are tired, sleepy, sore, down with headache or fever, "not in the mood," you are a joker, a serious comedian!
10. If your children suddenly become more important to you than your husband, you need prayers.
11. If you assume that as the woman, only you need to be pampered and fussed over while the man is a stone that has no emotions, you need to be pitied.
12. A woman that has the mind of a wife does not excite her husband. Wives are usually complacent and presumptuous. A wife must strive to have the mind of a fiancee. A fiancee is always nicer, sweeter, more loving and always thinking of ways to wow her sweetheart; a fiancee does not try to win all arguments, does not call the man a "useless man", is not careless about her looks or dressing, always smiles and laughs with the man, sends the man sweet messages and calls, etc.
13. A woman must never be tired of praying for her husband. You must be his most trusted confidant and encourager.

10 Common English Mistakes

10 COMMON WORDS NIGERIANS USE EVERYDAY, BUT WHICH DON'T EXIST

Many people speak English as their first language. It is one of the most commonly spoken languages in the world.

Nigerians are very good at a number of things and one of them is inventing their own version of English which has become popular overtime.

Some of the words and phrases we use often cannot be found in the dictionary. Some are words you picked up from others and they have become quite a norm.

It is not only the uneducated folks that are guilty of using these wrong words as the very educated Nigerians also use the English language inappropriately.

Below are words Nigerians use that don’t exist in the English dictionary.

1. Go-slow: When Nigerians say go-slow, they mean congested traffic, which is wrong. The meaning of go-slow in the English dictionary is, a form of industrial action in which work or progress is deliberately delayed or slowed down.

2. Disvirgin: This word is used on a daily basis by many Nigerians when they intend to say a woman has lost her virginity. There is no word like disvirgin. The correct word to use is deflower. Disvirgin simply does not exist.

3. Trafficate: Nigerians use the word to describe a situation where a driver indicates to other drivers that he/she wants to take a turn. It is used so often, that it has started to sound like proper English.

4. Flashing: Every Nigerian knows “flashing” to mean when someone calls your mobile phone and cuts off before you answer. The word ‘flash’ is so common among Nigerians and its used at least once daily by many. Flash has different meanings but none has anything to do with a phone call. The word doesn’t exist in that sense in English.

5. Installmentally: Don’t be tempted to use the word ‘installmentally’. Though it sounds correct, it isn’t. There is no such word in the English dictionary as it exists only in the Nigerian edition of English language. The correct thing to say is ‘in installments’.

6. Opportuned: What exists in English dictionaries is ‘opportune,’ without ‘d’ at the end. Opportune means ‘timely’ or ‘well-time, especially convenient or appropriate for a particular action or event. Opportuned is only common in Nigerian English.

7. Cunny: This is a word which Nigerians use to describe someone that is being deceitful or crafty. The right word is cunning not cunny.

8. Next tomorrow: Most Nigerians generally use “next tomorrow” but there is not such word as next tomorrow. Instead you should say, “a day after tomorrow."

9. Packer: Nigerians probably got the word from pack. The right word is dustpan. Since dustpan packs dirt, Nigerians like to call it packer.

10. Pepperish: It is common to hear Nigerians describe a meal that has too much pepper in it as pepperish. The proper word should be ‘peppery’. No native English speaker uses the word pepperish” to describe the burning sensation we feel from eating pepper.

Which of these words are you guilty of?

Edison

In 1896, *Thomas Edison*, the great inventor who invented the electric bulb, was working on an idea to design a car when he heard that a young man who worked in his company had created an experimental car.

Edison met the youngman at his company's party in New York and interviewed him about the car. He was impressed! He had the same idea as the young man but he was considering electricity as the power source while the young man used a gasoline engine to power the car. He slammed his fist down and shouted "young man, that's the thing! You have it! ... I think you are on to something! I encourage you to continue your pursuits!" With these words of encouragement from the most highly respected inventor in the United States at that time, HENRY Ford continued his work, invented a car and became wealthy.

On december 9, 1914, Thomas Edison's laboratory and factory got burnt. He was 67years old and the damage was too extensive for insurance cover. Before the ashes were cold, Henry Ford handed Edison a cheque of $750,000 with a note saying that Edison could have more if he needed it!

In 1916, Henry Ford relocated his home to the building next to Edison's home and when Edison couldn't walk and was confined to a wheelchair by his doctors, Henry Ford also bought himself a wheelchair so that he could run wheelchair races with his friend and mentor!

Thomas Edison made Henry Ford believe in himself and got a friend for life!

LESSON:

1)Don't ever be jealous of other people's success. If you can't win a race, help the person in front of you to break the record!

2)Your candle will not lose its light when it lights up another candle!

3)Getting the job done is more important than who gets the glory.

Sex is Food

SEX IS FOOD!!!READ!!!

Sex is not all about making children. You must be
a different woman to your husband every time.
Seduce your husband, don't always allow your
husband to ask for Sex, there must be no
timetable for sex. Be creative, don't be
predictable. Give him what he wants. If you loose
influence over your husband, you have lost
womanhood. Be part of your husband plans.
Don't have too many children, you wanna sell
them ? Allow your husband to check in and out
anytime.
When a man is sexually satisfied, he is
emotionally stable. Stop saying, is it food ? Yes,
sex is food !!!
As a wife, try to invest in yourself spiritually so
you can adequately support him. Build yourself as
his prayer warrior so that you will not be forced
to pray at the end of your life. Don't allow your
husband to provide all your needs, he is not a
money making machine. Iron sharpens iron, try to
reciprocate.
You are meant to support each other spiritually,
financially, physically and morally through thick
and thin. You are a builder....Wise woman
buildeth her home. Women need wisdom to build
their homes. Do not be too outspoken, know
when to talk, when to listen and when to be
quiet.
Love your husband with all your heart, never tell
him, if not because of my children, remember
you've known him before the arrival of those
children.
Pamper your husband, put his head on your chest
and pray for him. Give him unannounced kiss
from the back.... mwahhhhhh, don't be too holy
to kiss in the public. He is your husband for God
sake. Be romantic joooo, it is good for the heart.
Some people are not happy that you're happy in
that marriage, proof them wrong that you love
him and he is your crown, always feel good when
you hold him. Don't look 50 while you're still
under 40, it drives men crazy. Always keep fit
regardless of your age or body.
To men:
Do not take a woman who does all these for
granted!
Pamper her, pray for her, cherish her, love her,
support her financially, make her feel like your
woman😍😍😍

Words of advice

Life

Never beg anyone to accept you for who you are. Anything you acquire through begging will require begging to maintain.

Be humble but selective. Being selective doesn't mean you are arrogant or proud. It simply means you know your worth. If you are conscious of your personality avoid too much familiarity.

Sometimes when you treat people too much like celebrities, they end up treating you like ordinary fan. You are equally important.

Never downgrade yourself while trying to upgrade anybody in life. Anyone who sees you like an option doesn't deserve to be a priority in your life.

The dream of a fool is for everybody to become a bloody fool. Avoid negative people if you have a dream. Those without mission will say your vision is just an illusion.

Negative minds will never give you a positive life. Anyone who is always reminding you about what is wrong with you has a personal problem which he/she wants to take out on you.

Most people spend half of their entire life analyzing the faults in other peoples life, when their own lives need urgent repairs.

Never worry yourself about enemies and friends, because everybody in your life will eventually fall into one of two categories.

Some will hate you and some will love you. Loving you or hating you are both in your favour. When people love you, you live peacefully and happily in their heart; and when people hate you, you become the landlord in their head living painfully in their brain everyday and giving them sleepless nights.

Never allow negative people to rent a space in your life, kick them out of your life and increase the rent.

May God continue to guide our lives on the right path even if our souls doesn't want to be so. Amen

5 Interesting Facts About Your Phone

πŸ”΄ 5 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO..
There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.  Check out the things that you can do with it:

🐾FIRST:   Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile  is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of  your mobile; network and there is an emergency,
dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out...

🐾SECOND: Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry?   This may come in handy someday.
Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button,  holding it near the mobile phone on their end.   Your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object.  You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has  the other ' remote ' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)...

Editor ' s Note: It works fine! We tried it out and  it unlocked our car over a mobile phone! '

🐾THIRD:   Hidden   Battery  Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low.  To activate, press the keys *3370#
Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery.
This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

🐾FOURTH:   How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone ' s serial number,  key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen.  This number is unique to your handset..
Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.  When your phone get stolen, you can phone  your service provider and give them this code.  They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card,  your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won ' t get your phone back,  but at least you know that whoever stole it can ' t use/sell it either.  If everybody does this, there would be  no point in people stealing mobile phones.

🐾FIFTH : ATM - PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can
notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234,
then you would put in 4321.

The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.   The machine will still give you the money you requested,  but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

This information was recently broadcast on CTV by Crime Stoppers however it is seldom used because people just don ' t know about it...   Please pass this along to everyone.

The Other Room

THE OTHER ROOM: WHAT A ROOM!

...The other room is a mysterious room, where strange things happen. The line between the young and the aged blurs: the young do adult things, and the old do childish things.
...In that other room, age is really just a number, and even in retirement, some people refuse to get tired.
...In the other room, gentlemen become warriors; lazy women suddenly change into athletes; and even sick people manage to become other-room activists.
...In the other room, men of high estate bend down; high chiefs stoop low; masters of protocol throw all protocols to the wind; and no-nonsense men become beggars...even before house-helps!
...In that other room, women forget about their makeup kits and handsets; women of high breeding play with commoners; and even avowed feminists come down from their high horses and high heels...to give and take.
...From what I hear, when it comes to the other room, there are no weaklings, no retirees and no cripples: everyone aspires for stardom!
...In the other room, all games of the romantic kind are played. So, the other room is also a games-room or a gaming-room. But it's one game where drugs are permitted...to enhance performance, to spread joy, to sustain happiness.
...In that room, that other room, titles don't count: there is no president or pastor or imam or richman or gateman or driver or special adviser....This is why the men are permitted to be children, in that other room only, so that they can beg and say foolish things - things they will never say in the sitting-room!
...In that other room likewise, there is no lady (whether first lady or last lady) or queen or maid or graduate or market-woman! There is equality of womanhood. This is why it is permitted for the women, in that other room only, to ride generals, to bend iron-wills, to humble statesmen, to give life and to make men happy.
...But that other room is also a room of magic. And it is dangerous magic. This is why in that magical room, a sly woman can cast spells on an otherwise wise or strong man, using those dreamy eyes, that soft voice and those soft hands...and proceed to dispossess him of his sense and his virtue and his integrity and his commonsense and his strength and his school fees and his business capital and his salary....
If you doubt me, ask Mike Tyson, Tiger Woods, CP Oyakhilome, Edward Moore Kennedy....
... And because in the other room, the requirement is not a degree or class or sophistication, but just passion, every woman is a woman is a woman in there. And so, every woman in the other room has the liberty and the license  to be herself, and to be enraptured in the sensuous and psychedelic pleasures that the other room can offer. She can quiver and shiver and whimper and cry and scream and...why not. What happens in the other room stays in the other room: pleading generals, statesmen on bended knees, quivering Amazons, helpless divas....This is why the other room is also a dark-room of secrets. What happens there stays there.
...In the other room, every person wants to acquit himself/herself excellently by answering his/her father's name heroically...and, sometimes, too loudly.

Pathetic by Netanyahu

NETANYAHU ISRAELIS PRIME MINISTER'S SPEECH ON AFRICANS

We not obliged even the least to try to prove to anybody and to blacks and Arabs that we are superior people, we have demonstrated that to the black and Arabs in 1001 ways.
The state of Israel we know today is not created by wishful thinking. we have created it at the expenses of intelligence, sweat and blood.....we do not pretend like other whites that we like the blacks

The fact that blacks and Arabs look like human beings do not necessarily make them sensible human beings. Hedgehogs are not porcupines and lizards are not crocodiles because they look alike. if God had wanted us to be equal to blacks and Arabs, He would have created us all of a uniform color and intellect but He created us differently whites, blacks, yellow, rulers and the ruled. intellectually we are superior to the blacks and Arabs that has been proven beyond the reasonable doubt over the years.

I believe that a Jew is honest, God fearing person who has demonstrated practically the right way of beige. by now every one of us has seen it practically that blacks and Arabs cannot rule themselves. Give them guns and they will kill each other. they are good In nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives, alcoholism, witchcraft, indulging in sex, pretending in church, jealousy, fighting and complaining of nonsense.

Let us all accept that the black man is a symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. Give them money for development they will fight and create hatred and enmity for themselves.
this proves to anybody including a stupid fool that Africans don't know what they want. isn't that plausible?
Therefore that the white man is created to rule the black man, Africans will always have day dreams. and here is the creature (black man) that lacks foresight but only sees what is near him and still fails to know what to do. A black man is stupid to the extent that he cannot plan for his life beyond a year. Therefore how can they develop and live longer.
Then which fool argues that the black man is not born a beggar, grows a beggar, looks a beggar, falls sick as a beggar and dies a beggar. this has been proven beyond reasoning. I wonder that even up to now most Africans still go to school by force and those who are at school are enemies. this is a pregnant stupidity in Africa that needs Jesus's immediate second coming. the body of Africans is very fertile for all diseases in the world bse they don't fear even HIV/AIDS. This leaves me with a question are our eyes created the same with those Africans,,.? I hear there are still cultures in Africa that prohibit them from using latrines which is very annoying.
Please jam sorry to say that jam regretting to say that why did God create Africans. They cried for independence but have failed to rule themselves. For sure being African is a very untreatable disease that even prayers are not enough.
They have minerals but they cannot do anything with it therefore the whites let us go to Africa and pick what we can pick and leave what is of no use for them. poverty is a disease to the whites but to the blacks it is very normal. Jesus please hurry and save Africans and Arabs. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE.

Fascinating Poem

Beautiful Poem..

 *THE WORLD IS MINE*

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman
and wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and used a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
      I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
      I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go,
With eyes to see the sunset's glow,
With ears to hear what I'd know,
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.

Inspiring 87-Year Old

She said, *“Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I’m eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?”*

I laughed and enthusiastically responded, *“Of course you may!”* and she gave me a giant squeeze.

*“Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?”* I asked.

She jokingly replied, *“I’m here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids…”*

*“No seriously,”* I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

*“I always dreamed of having a college education and now I’m getting one!”* she told me.

After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.

We became instant friends. Every day for the next three months, we would leave class together and talk non-stop.

I was always mesmerized listening to this *“time machine”* as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.

Over the course of the year, *Rose became a campus icon* and *she easily made friends wherever she went*.

She loved to *dress up* and she *revelled in the attention bestowed upon her* from the other students.

*She was living it up.*

At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet.

I’ll never forget what she taught us. She was introduced and stepped up to the podium.

As she began to *deliver her prepared speech*, she *dropped her three by five cards* on the floor.

*Frustrated* and a *little embarrassed*, she leaned into the microphone and simply said, *“I’m sorry I’m so jittery*. I *gave up beer for Lent* and *this whiskey is killing me!*

*I’ll never get my speech back in order*; so *let me just tell you what I know.”*

As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, *“We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing*.

There are *only four secrets to staying young*.

*Being happy*, and *achieving success*.
You have to laugh and find humor every day.

You’ve got to *have a dream*. When you lose your dreams, you die.
We have so many people walking around who are dead and don’t even know it!

There is a *huge difference between growing older* and *growing up*.

If you are nineteen years old and *lie in bed for one full year* and *don’t do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old*.

If I am *eighty-seven years old* and *stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight*.

Anybody can *grow older*. That *doesn’t take any talent or ability*. The idea is to *grow up by always finding opportunity in change*.

*Have no regrets*. The *elderly* usually *don’t have regrets for what we did*, but *rather for things we did not do*.

*The only people who fear death are those with regrets.”*

She concluded her speech by courageously singing *“The Rose.”*

She *challenged* each of us to *study the lyrics* and *live them out in our daily lives*.

At the year’s end *Rose finished the college degree she had begun all those years ago*.

*One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep*.

*Over two thousand college students attended her funeral* in *Tribute* to the *Wonderful Woman who taught by example* that it’s *Never too late to be all you can possibly be*.

If you found it *insightful*, and a *peaceful words of advice*, your may *share* with *friends* and *family*, they’ll really enjoy it!

*REMEMBER*;
*Growing Older* is *Mandatory*, *GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL!*

We *make a Living by what we get*, We *make a Life by what we give*.

Have a *Great Life Ahead*...

Irony of Man

.. COPIED FROM KING'S COLLEGE OLD BOYS WALL

Very inspiring piece!!!!

Man, O Man!
When without money, eats vegetables at home.
When he has money, eats the same vegetables in a fine restaurant.

When without money, rides a bicycle to and from home.
When he has money rides an  ‘exercise bicycle’ at the gym.

When without money, walks to earn food.
When he has money, walks to burn fat.

Man, O Man! Never fails to deceive thyself!

When without money, wishes to get married;
When he has money, wishes to get divorced.

When without money, wife becomes secretary;
When he has money, secretary becomes wife.

When without money, acts like a rich man.
When he has money acts like a poor man.

Man, O Man! Never can tell the simple truth!

Says share market is bad, but keeps speculating.
Says money is evil, but keeps accumulating.
Says high positions are lonely, but keeps wanting them.
Says gambling & drinking is bad, but keeps indulging.

Man, O Man! Never means what he says and never says what he means..

Life is not about what you couldn't do so far, it's about what you can still do.

N200 seems too much to give a beggar but it seems okay when its given as tip at a fancy restaurant.

Praying to God for 3 minutes
takes too much time but
watching a movie for 3 hours doesn't.

Two poor starving kids sitting on the pavement
weren't given even a slice of bread but a painting of them is sold for hundred dollars.

Think about It..
Make a change, because you can ....
Here are six easy ways to earn, even after death.

1) Give a smile or gift to someone. Each time you give a smile, it will make someone's day. You gain.

2) Donate a wheelchair to a hospital. Each time a sick person uses it, you gain.

3) Participate in building an orphanage, or a hospital or a school or a college. Anybody uses it, you gain.

4) Place a water cooler in a public place. When someone drinks the water, you gain.

5) Plant a tree. Whenever a person, animal sits in its shade or eats from it, you gain.

6) And the easiest of all is, share this message with people. Even if one applies any of the above, you gain.

Inspiring

I love this - I hope you do too.

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water..

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

'I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house.

The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'

'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

SO, to all of my cracked pot sisters, brothers and friends, have a great day and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

Fruits On Empty Stomach

*Eating Fruit on Empty Stomach*

This will open your eyes ! Read to the end and then send it on to all on your e-list. I just did !

Dr Stephen Mak treats terminal ill cancer patients by an "un-orthodox" way and many patients recovered.

Before he used solar energy to clear the illnesses of his patients, he believes on natural healing in the body against illnesses. See his article below.

It is one of the strategies to heal cancer. As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%.

Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already found - *its in the way we eat fruits.*

It is whether you believe it or not.

I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments.

*EATING FRUIT*

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths.

It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and *when* to eat the fruits.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

*IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS!*

*FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH*

If you eat fruits on empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

_FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD._

Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.

The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so due to the bread taken before the fruit.

In the meantime the whole meal of bread & fruit rots and ferments and turns to acid.

The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

So please eat your fruits on an *empty stomach* *or before your meals !*

You have heard people complaining :

Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc.. etc..

Actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on _an empty stomach._

The fruit mixes with the putrefying of other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat !

Greying hair, balding, nervous outburst and dark circles under the eyes all these will *NOT* *happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.*

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.

If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the  *SECRET of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.*

When you need to drink fruit juice - *drink only  fresh fruit juice,* NOT from the cans, packs or bottles.

Don't even drink juice that has been heated up.

Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all.

You only get its taste.
Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.

If you should drink the fresh fruit juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse or detoxify your body.

Just eat fruits and drink fresh fruit juice throughout the 3 days.

And you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look !

*KIWI fruit:*
Tiny but mighty.
This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

*APPLE:*
An apple a day keeps the doctor away?
Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby _helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke._

*STRAWBERRY:*
Protective Fruit.
Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging and free radicals.

*ORANGE :*
Sweetest medicine.
Taking 2-4 oranges a day may _help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer._

*WATERMELON:*
Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which _helps boost our immune system._

They are also *a key source of lycopene the cancer fighting oxidant.*
Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

*GUAVA & PAPAYA:*
Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.

Guava is also rich in fiber, which _helps prevent constipation._

Papaya is rich in carotene; this is _good for your eyes._

*Drinking COLD water or drinks after a meal = CANCER*

Can you believe this ?

For those who like to drink cold water or cold drinks, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a cup of cold water or cold drinks after a meal.

*However, the cold water or drinks will solidify the oily stuff that you have just eaten.*

*It will slow down the digestion.*

*Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.*

*It will line the intestine.*

*Very soon, this will turn into FATS and lead to CANCER !*

_*It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.*_

Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

World's Pennis Day

*Today is World 'Penis Day'....Funny but Educative....*
***********************
*A true friend is like a Penis, he stands up for you in times of need. A genuine friend is like a Bra, she supports you at all times. A faithful friend is like a Condom, he protects you from all harm, A loving friend is like a Vagina, she accomodates you fully despite the size of yr problem, what kind of a friend are you to me? Penis, Bra, Condom, or Vagina friend?*
*Do u know that the Penis is d greatest breakfast ever?  According to doctors it has a mushroom head, a sausage body, two eggs and milk which provides nutrients. Thus making ladies healthy and full for 9 months*.
*Besides it has 3 good manners too*
1)  *Its very courteous, it stands before it performs*
2)  *It is very emotional, it weeps during performance*
 3) *It is polite, it bows after  performing.*.
*Send to ladies 2 laugh and to men 2 make them happy and proud of themselves!.                                             ⭕1) Kamasutra says : If you suck one nipple, the woman herself offers the other one. And that was the origin of "buy one get one free!"*
⭕2) *Did you ever notice: everything on a woman's upper body starts with a "B". Blouse, Bra, Bikini, Boobs & lower body with a "P" Peticoat, panties, pussy... That's origin of BP!*
⭕3)  *Before sex, you help each other get naked. After sex, you dress only yourself. Moral: In life no one helps you once you're fucked*.
⭕4) *Success is like 'pregnancy'. Everybody congratulates you but nobody knows how many times you got fucked to achieve it*.
⭕5) *Life is like a dick, sometimes it becomes hard for no reason*.
6) *Practical thought: A husband is supposed to make his wife's panties wet, not her eyes. A wife is supposed to make her husband's dick hard, not his life*.
*When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach & say "Congrats"!*
*But none of them come and touch the man's Penis and say "Well done"!*
*Moral: "Hard work is never appreciated: "Only results matter πŸ˜ƒ
